*RI CONSERVATION Work Group Meeting II* Horizon Club, Shangri-la Hotel, 3pm 27 April 2024 *Attending:* Teck Kiat Abir Meng Foo Ricky Wah Chin Kin Keong Yi Tuan Romen *Absent:* Patrick Ranald 1. It was agreed that a website is needed to be set up quickly so that it can be used as a marketing tool and to help Rafflesians and Singaporeans in general understand why there is a need to preserve the Clock tower and wings. 2. It was also agreed that we would attempt to preserve the clock tower and wings rather than just the clock tower itself, as the tower and wings really make the site look iconic and majestic. 3. Meng Foo is to work on a write up on the architectural merits of the RI clock tower and the school, while Kin Keong would do a write up on what it meant to be in RI and what it represents, the history and making of Singapore and its education system, ie the egalitarian/meritocratic nature of the school, sentiments towards public schools, its majesty, the emotive asp...
