Romen Bose (Main Co-ordinator + History)

An international correspondent with over 22 years of reporting experience in the region, Romen Bose worked as a Political Communications Consultant for former Malaysian Premier Najib Razak for six years and was a close confidante to decision makers in the upper echelon of the country's political elite. Before setting up his own consultancy, Romen was head of Asian social media at IHS Markit and worked as a senior foreign correspondent with French news agency AFP based in Kuala Lumpur. He was the founding president of the Foreign Correspondents Club of Malaysia and a senior producer with the English service of Al Jazeera International when it opened its regional base in Malaysia. Prior to this, Romen was the Indochina Bureau Chief for Channel News Asia and has also consulted for the United Nations. Romen has also researched and written extensively on the second world war and its impact on Southeast Asia.

Patrick Loke (Finance/Fundraising, coordinator)

Patrick Loke is a seasoned Private Equity Investor and Advisor with a strong educational background. He has a rich professional history, currently serving as the Managing Director at PTL Capital, where he has been a pivotal figure since 2009. His expertise lies in advising and investing in high-growth companies.

Loke is highly skilled in areas including Business Strategy, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Angel Investing, particularly in early-stage ventures. His work aims to carry "God's blessings to the unreached, unblessed, and unfortunate," indicating a mission-driven approach to investment.

Ranald Or

Ranald Or is a law school lecturer who is passionate about the teaching and learning of legal skills like legal analysis and oral advocacy. His life views are heavily influenced by his years as a neighbourhood primary school pupil, a scout, a Rafflesian, an NSman, a litigator, and an educator. In his free time, Ranald alternates between long bouts as a couch potato and short bursts of outdoorsing like kayaking to Pulau Ubin and back.
